Deposits for pre booked escorted trips .For all escorted trips a deposit of 10% is payable in advance this will be deducted from the final payment. Loss of deposit for pre booked escorted trips .If you cancel your booking up to 15 days in advance including the day of cancellation you will be fully refunded. Cancel up to 10 days including the day of cancellation you will loose 50% of your deposit. Cancel less than 10 days notice full loss of deposit. Deposit for unescorted hireA deposit of £30.00 is payable on all unescorted hiring's. This is to cover damage and or loss of equipment. Payment for unescorted hiring'sThis must be paid in advance of the hiring in full. Over hireWhen you hire a canoe you will be given a return time. It is important for your own safety that you return when you agree to. If you do not return at the given time, or within 10 minutes after of this given time you will be charged a full hours hire at a one hour hiring rate. This charge will continue for every subsequent hour. You will not get the multi hour discount. Loss of equipmentThe loss of any equipment will be charged at the full rate. a table of costs is on the hire form but examples are Paddles = £30.00 Buoyancy aid = £70.00 Barrel = £20.00 Helmet = £25.00 CD player = £35.00 Damage to the canoeFrom time to time canoes do suffer damage, if the damage is through fair wear and tear there will be no charge, however you will be charged the repair cost or replacement if the damage is caused by miss treatment of the canoe. ResponsibilitiesPersonal propertyWe will not accept responsibility for the loss of any personal equipment, or damage to personal equipment and property no matter the cause. Personal injuryWe will not accepted liability for personal injury or death no matter the cause. Unless there is some sort of defect with the equipment issued to you. Your SafetyYou are supplied with buoyancy aids and safety helmets these must be worn at all times when near the water or in the canoe. You must comply with the river code and rights of way. DisabilitiesFor safety reasons those with mental or physical disabilities must accompanied by a carer. Young personNobody under the age of 16 may travel unaccompanied in a canoe. Nobody under the age of 18 may hire a canoe. |
